CodeClub.au is a week long inclusive school holiday program designed for young people aged between 8 and 14 years old with participants grouped appropriately. The purpose of the program is to offer opportunity for young people to learn in a self-paced style. Participants also have opportunity to work in small groups.
Programs are based on participants interests and abilities. All participants have the opportunity to work on set tasks where skills are taught to further develop their known skills and extend on them.
Tasks taught include beginning and extending these skills;
Movement
Looks
Sound effects and voice recording
Motion
Sound
Conditionals
Animation
Creating and editing characters
Participants can enrol in a week long program with a morning and an afternoon group offered.
This program is available between January 16-20 2023
Program A: 9 am - 12 pm
Program B: 1 pm - 4 pm
The program cost is $350 and includes course materials, facilitation, optional use of headset and mouse, participation certificate upon completion. The participant numbers are capped at 12 per group, and the more enrolments, the lower the fee. Technology is based on BYOD (Bring Your Own Device), and mouse and headphones will be provided.
(Please Note: The program will not operate on tablets/mobile devices, therefore laptops are required)
NDIS Funding: If the participant has an NDIS package, there are several categories in Capacity Building and Core funding, which may contribute to payment of the program - check with your Plan Managers
